Art Colored Glasses
This pattern was created as a tongue-in-cheek design memorializing an oft-heard saying , <<قلة الشغل بتعلّم التطريز>>, in the North of Palestine (e.g., Tulkarm and Nablus) where women were often engaged in agriculture and other manual labor and did not have much time to sit and embroider. The saying roughly translates to “a lack of work will teach you embroidery.”
