About Me

My name is Farah and I am a Muslim and Palestinian artist and poet. From gel pens and glitter glue to acrylics and printing presses, I've been making art almost as long as I've been alive. My art exists somewhere between occasional hobby and dedicated craft. I might go months without creating anything, but I look at the world around me through "art colored glasses." I'm inspired by the lone tree I catch a glimpse of at sunset, the blue jay peeking in my window, and the stacks of books perched around my room. Sometimes I just like to play with colors and textures, but most of the time I create because of the connections I draw between the minutiae of life and the deeply held values that guide me. I share my creations with you in the hope that the things I make add a little bit of color and joy to your life.
